On 19 August 2019, a new, unique tourist attraction of Małopolska was made available for tourists – the first Polish tree-top observation tower and didactic path! The unusual wooden structure of the 49.5-metre-high tower is built at the top of the Słotwiny Arena ski station among the forests of the Jaworzyna Krynicka range.

A specially constructed "wooden path" leads to the Tower, rising gradually upwards, supported by 18 support towers and 87 columns. When designing the path, a multi-storey path system was used in two places, for the first time in Europe. Thanks to the use of unique Acacia robinii wood, commonly known as acacia, engineers created a solid construction that meets both safety standards and aesthetic values.

The location of the route among the tree tops undoubtedly influences the experience of admiring the landscape values of the area. The total length of the trail is 1,030 metres. Visitors can learn more about the surrounding nature and history of the region through special educational installations. An additional attraction, especially for children, will be a 60-metre-long slide. The investment was carried out in the Słotwiny Arena ski resort at Słotwińska 51A in Krynica-Zdrój. The facility will be a year-round tourist and recreation infrastructure.

The tower can be reached by a modern 6-seat Doppelmayr chairlift, or by walking along a paved, scenic road. The construction was created among beautiful tree stand, which consists of beautiful and unique trees, such as beech, fir and spruce. This unique project is the first of its kind in Poland and Europe and has the potential to become one of the main attractions of the region. It is the highest wooden observation tower created and built by Polish constructors, architects and carpenters. More information can be found at www.wiezawidokowa.pl or FB:@wiezakrynica.
